In the past, we have used a garlic splitter. but have had to do the sorting manually . so this is a small update. the HGSF-600 Garlic splitter with clove sorter saves quite a lot of time. Why do we grade Garlic Seed ?
If you want to grow bigger bulb garlic and increase yield, Select cloves of the correct size and colour that are free of pests and diseases. Small cloves will produce smaller bulbs than larger cloves and can, depending on the variety, be discarded.
The biggest and fattest cloves around the outside of your garlic bulb will typically produce the best plants, and many people choose to eat smaller inner cloves but these can be planted too.
Grading assists mechanical planting, separates smaller cloves and allows the largest to be planted first.
